Lump on my dog's lower rear legs?
yesterday my dog's groomer noticed a medium sized lump on my pekingese dog. it doesn't seem to bother him at adjectives, however it does seem to make him walk a bit differently. and it must have grown fast because the last time he be groomed was 6 weeks ago and it wasn't there. do you think its a tumor or cancer??i made an appointment for the vet, but that's within 3 days/ help
It could be cancerous, a fatty deposit, ect... The vet will be 100% sure.
This is most likely a fatty cyst so that's not a big issue on the other hand it could be a tumour which is benign or malignant and just the vet can send a specimen away to be tested and you will get an answer so do not come up with the worst but try and be positive.
Answers: Unfortunately, the only way to determine whether a mass is malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous) is by doing a biopsy. Masses that grow rapidly or change in shape/color are historically more imagined to be malignant. Good call in making an appointment with the vet.
He/she may recommend surgery to own the mass removed, if possible, especially if it's cause your pup to walk differently than normal. Either way, I want you and your baby luck!
Most expected it is just a fat bubble and I hear vets transport out those all the time. So don't worry it will be O.K.
Hey..it's probably not cancer if it's not causing the dog any pain. My dog have some too, I mean he's getting old but they don't bother him. It could just be a fatty tumor or a malignant one. Probably not cancer.
