My 3 year outmoded chihuahua is shaking and fearful of our brand unusual pitbull puppy. How can I lighten her anxiety?

Stella isn't being aggressive to the new puppy, but she is absolutely frightened. She shakes and pants and is very unsure of her surroundings. I'm making certain she gets the same amount of attention and that she is able to set up her dominance over the new puppy, but she isn't coping well.
be totally careful when the pit gets older it could annihilate the chihuahua
Im not usuallly recitation people to get rid of their puppies but i think you should consider rehoming the pit. I dont own anything against the breed but unless you can find a trainer that know pits well, it might kill your chihuahua. Pits tend to chase and hunt smaller prey and it might mistake her for prey.
But if you positively want to keep the pit heres what you should do: Put each of them on a leash and get a daypack of treats. Bring the chihuahua in a different room. Have another person bring the puppy into the room on a leash. As the puppy comes in, furnish the chihuahua some treats. This will show her that when she sees the puppy, good things happen. After stella feel comfortable with the puppy repeat this process but switch the dogs.
I would say get rid of the pitbull puppy..
It takes training and TIME to get two dogs used to each other. Your Chihuahua requirements to be trained to like the new puppy. Try this exercise and see if it help.

Have someone hold the Chihuahua in a room, and have you or someone else bring in the the tentative puppy. Every time the Chihuahua looks at the Puppy or sniffs her give her a treat. A little piece of chicken works well. That way you are establishing that the topical puppy equals good things! It may take a while but with self-control and persistence the two dogs will be happy sharing a life together. XD
Sorry to start with this, but after reading that you should dump one of your new clan members I had to chime in. In a 7 year study around dogs biting humans, out of 100 dog breeds, pit bulls were found to be 4th... from the bottom. That means there are 96 other breeds that you are more predictable to be bitten by. You about 5 times more likely to be bitten by the chihuahua than the pit. It's a fact.
My suggestion is walking. Take them for walk together. They need to spend time together and concentrate on something other than each other. Walking together will in actuality help them bond.
The pit will need more vigorous exercise, but you can other take him out later in the morning.
Plus, contrary to popular belief, chihuahua's don't necessarily shake when they are scared, it's more an anxious reaction, and exercise can sustain alleviate that. Try it for 2 weeks, I bet you see a difference!
chihuahua's shake. it's natural to them.
