My 3month prehistoric puppy have never be external all the same. When I try to bring him out adjectives he does is sit nearby and shake?
How can I get him used to being outside and mortal on a leash so I could bring him for walks. He's a 4lbs teacup shih-poo, he's so small. Help!
It doesn't matter how small he is . he is a dog!
Stop feeling sorry for him! You are doing him no favours at all.
He requests to be socialised and some firm leadership. You are running out of time to do this. if you do not get a grip on this you will failure up with a potentially aggressive fearful adult.
There is lots of info online just google 'dog socialisation'.
Good luck
I had a similar problem with one of my puppies once. He have never been on grass. My mother in law brought her dog over to show him how to pace, and potty on grass. Maybe you have a friend or relative that will let you borrow their dog, to help your puppy.. 3-months-old is little for the leash. you put the leash on at this age, and try to nickname the puppy to you when you are in the house. If you have a fenced back patio, put the leash on and have the puppy drag it and follow you around the yard. They really get better near the leash around 4 to 5-months-old, so keep practicing. When my puppy went for a walk, and come home, I made a big fuss over her. She didn't like the walk that much, but she like the attention when she got home. She is better at it now that she is elder. Also she didn't like the maroon leash, or the pink one, but she doesn't mind the blue one. Sometimes a puppy is only just a puppy.
Answers: Your doggie shakes because he is cold, buy him a sweater and keep him outside til he go. Give him lots of praise for going potty outside. If this does not help, hold on to him on a short lead and stay as close as possible, as he may be scared since he doesn't normally progress outside.
Maybe whether he is socialized with another dog, they can go outside together. it might work :)
