My dog keep whining at the door?

my maltese puppy is 6+ months old and he's always slept with me within the room. just a few days ago, he's been whining at my room door in the behind time night, wanting to go out to the living room. i tried letting him once and after a few minutes i went out and saw him lying/sleeping contained by front of the house door. what is causing this problem? is this just a change contained by behaviour? how should i react? should he sleep there from very soon on?
This is NOT a problem. It's very raw for dogs to take up their spots within sight of the door. They with ease want a good spot to keep an eye and ear out for anyone coming or going. Just leave your door expand and let him come and go as he pleases...he's growing up and taking the role of guardian.
All my dogs have done only just this.
Well, I take my puppies outside within the middle of the night to go potty at this age. At this age, if my puppy is potty trained, I allow them to sleep external of the crate, and if they can then behave, I allow them to sleep where ever they want to. We own plenty of doggie pillows all through the house. My dog, Andy, likes to sleep between a wall and the toilet upside down. You would think of adjectives the places we have in the house to sleep, he could find someplace more comfortable to be.
He only wants to be alone. Don't worry about it. Let him be a dog. He doesn't constantly obligation to be with you.
as long as he isnt in danger then he is fine. but try to label the space more cosier. such as putting a little bed and a little pet blanket and toys and water.
Did you ever think that maybe he wishes to go outside to use the bathroom?

let the dog sleep wear he wants too! you said he be at the front door? maybe he is trying to protect you?!!
Answers:    let him sleep wherever he wants. it may be too hot or too cold for him contained by your room, or maybe he has just approved that he should guard the door (I had a dog like that- she would come in our room until we be asleep and then go and sleep in front of the front door.) as long as you can trust him surrounded by the house without supervision, it's fine.
let him be a controller. he thinks it's his job to keep an eye on things while his master sleeps. honourable boy!
Does anyone else thinking giving out breed warning similar to a sermon conflicts next to temperament trialling?   Is their any difference between A King Shepherd & a German Shepherd.?   What sort of dogs are black?   "what is a amazingly polite brand of puppy food?"?
