My dog won't guzzle his dog food?
My chihuahua ("Lucky" 3 years, adopted from a friend that lives far away about a week ago)
The preceding owner gave us the regular dog food that she always fed to Lucky.
I put some pieces of meat into his dog food (Beneful) and he other eats the meaty parts
recently, we've been pamper him (giving him human food and lots of treats)
dont worry we stopped that because its just unhealthy for him
and in a minute he will not eat his dog food and i don't want him to get any assumptions that he can always devour human food!

Try another brand of dog food, read the labels, call your vet and see if they take dog food,it's a little more expensive, but it is worth the cost and has much better ingrediants in it the store brand open-handed..That's what I do for my dog, it's dry food, and I mix it w/hot water, he thinks he's getting gravy and he loves it..He doesn't like it dry..so the hot sea did the trick, I stir it up w/a spoon to make the gravy..Hope this helps you! ps..DOn't give him relations food..and you can get treats at the vet as well...
You should know how dogs really like smelly stuff so conceivably if you put a little flavor into his food to make it smell and possibly he will eat it. Also you can hold to the food up to your mouth and fake like your ingestion it and he will watch you and when you put the bowl down she may eat it. Or you could just switch the food.

Crush up the food. The dog food may be to hard for him. That is what happened to my dog.
first off, don't bequeath that breed of dog people food, if you will get down on adjectives fours and eat the dog food lucky will think it's good and perchance take a bite
Check this out! Don't assume he can't always guzzle human food. You need to know that your dog CAN NOT be associated with eating human food on a regular idea! It sounds like you have genuine concerns almost the health of your dog and that's good. So lets look at this. He have an addiction to human food like humans are addicted to cigarettes. But unlike humans, you are in control of what goes into his body. So when you make available you him his food and he is refusing to eat it , do not allow him to win over your heart and to give him ANY human food. You will solitary enable him to continue his ways. If he doesn't eat the dog food, provide him time. He will get hungry! But like any addict, DO NOT make a contribution him a "puff", "taste" "lick" or a thought of human food right now. Over a long period of time, once your dog realizes who he is, afterwards go ahead and throw him a bite once in a while. But remember, you are in control of what he eat.
Slowly allay him back in. Give him wet dog food (meat) and consequently mix it with dry. Slowly make the mix have more dry and smaller number wet, then finally go to adjectives dry. I believe this will work.
Dogs get sick of eating matching food, just like humans. I'd look into changing his food into something rather more healthier and natural. Because the natural dog foods are made next to real ingredients instead of fillers, they prefer the taste over the lesser brands.
change your food. Royal canine really works ;D My yorkie loves it but sometimes when he doesn't want to drink it, change it to that yucky wet food
Answers: You might want to make the switch to a different dog food. This dog is pretty smart - Beneful is a terrible food, so he knew what he be doing eating the healthy stuff you were feed him - the meat! He wants more healthy food!
