My dogs hair stand on finish when he see's other dogs?
i dont know if it means he's got rhodesina ridgeback within him or what.
why does he do that??
My dog does indistinguishable thing when she looks out the window and sees race walking past lol. All dogs do that , mine only does it when she's angered though .
It's called "raising his hackles."
He's probably subtly showing his dominance and if a dog pushes that-- he's on the attack. That, or he's doing it out of disquiet.
Overall, it's an anxious behavior, he's starting to/thinking about triggering his "fight or flight" reaction. Watch him scrupulously when/if he socializes.
But all dogs have that hair-- not just RR's.
no that does not mean ridge back
it is call his hackles,,,, ugh
google it
Do not worry, my dog does that also and it is merely because he wants to play or he is sacred.
Answers: It means he's in some way excited by the other dog and have nothing to do with the breed. It could be he's aggressive towards it, could be nervous, or basically extreme excitement.
all dogs do that, it technique that they're mad or trying to be protective.
His hair stands up when they are wacky, or unaware of each other
most dogs do that
