My womanly dog have gone assassin intuition on my mannish dog? HELP?
I went away for the weekend and left my pups at my parents house. Moms call me on saturday and said that my dogs had got into a fight and "Coco" be going crazy anytime "Brooklyn" would come around!!
I went to get them yesterday and sure ample... She is really pissed off at him for some reason>? The back of her hair stands up and she starts grawling at him when he comes around her... Coco is contained by attack mode when she sees BK :(
She was fine with my moms dog, its basically BK she has a problem with...
Quick Note: I have have them both for about 9 months now, they are both fixed, she is a lab mix (10 months) he is a huskey (2 years),
What to do? Please help!!
Answers: the solely thing i can think of to tell you is to hold coco away from brooklyn. other wise she might try to really hurt him. try keeping one of them as an inside dog and the other as an outside dog.
I would recommend taking them out of the house and walking them together. If they are competent to stay in a room without killing respectively other then it is really not a killer instinct as you describe but something that Brooklyn have done or some scent he's giving out is making her react.. Believe me, if she wanted to do spoil she would have already, but that doesn't mean it couldn't escalate. They may be jockeying for a higher position contained by the household... Walk them and let them play outside together. and make certain that inside the house YOU are the one they look to so hopefully they stop squabbling..
