My Lab is startled of beeping/talking my smoke alarm make Came domestic he is shaking tries to coat between my legs?

I enjoy two black labs and they freak out also over the smoke alarms going off. When something was burning on the stove and the alarm goes bad, they run to the door to go out. If I let them out, I have a tricky time getting them back in. The high pitch must hurt their ears. All I can recommend is that you hang on to fresh batteries in the alarms so they don't chirp when your not home. Oh yeah, try not to burn supper.
My dog is afraid of our beeping waffle iron. We've tried a lot to grasp her used to the sound - sometimes we put it on the floor and just leave it in attendance and put treats on it so she'll go up to it. We've tried keeping her in the kitchen and giving treats when it beeps...zilch has really worked too well, but it isn't on all that regularly. Maybe your dog is just sensitive; my dog is also afraid of the sound of frying bacon which is weird.
it sounds resembling somebody did something to the poor dog with a alarm
Mine do one and the same thing; I really believe the noise hurts their ears because it is such a high pitch nouns.

It could also be that your dog is relating this sound to a terrible experience he suffered and or he might have sensitive ears.

Answers:    Don't coddle or sympathize with his fear. You will positively reinforce his behaviors if you reassure him that "it's alright". Just give notice the noise on, however annoying, until he gets over it. Ignore the noise. Ignore your dog. Act close to it's business as usual, like nothing is wrong. That method you assert yourself as the pack leader, exuding confidence which the dog will adopt.
