My little corgi mix simply go contained by to be neuter...?

I'll pick him up tomorrow morning. I know there's more risk of complications with males but that's all i know about the process. approximately the "snip" i've just been told that the boys stay overnight because there is a risk. while the girls is more invasive the boys are risky in recent times because of the way the tubes are connected to the urinary tract. now the shelter i spoke with may own given me incorrect information but that's what they said. and it's actually fairly inexpensive, i think they enjoy a low income plan or something. not sure, just know it's gonna be under 100. I don't know much roughly speaking healing time or anything. Also what is the protocol on other animals, namely other dogs being around him? and the other dog would be one i get from a shelter. I'd resembling to get him as soon as possible because I'm afraid he'll be gone and he was a great match for my little Toby and I
Neutering a dog is extremely adjectives. My dog was neutered and kept overnight also - chances are he will sleep the unbroken time from being medicated. The recovery time is about 7-10 days. You hold to keep them from licking their stitches, I used bitter apple cream AROUND the wound. I got it from my vet. He can be around other dogs, keep them from licking him, he can not drop up on furniture, couches beds, ect..Your vet should give you pain pills for him and it help him get through the next few days.

Dont worry, he will be ok!
I've never had complications beside my boys. I always pick them up the same day.

Do hold him separated from other dogs for a day or two.
Answers:    Neutering is in actual fact a simple procedure - much simpler than spaying. I've never heard of a male being kept overnight past, actually. His stitches will need to be kept clean and dry until he go back to get them out in 10 days. You stipulation to keep him from chewing at them - they should provide you with an elizabethan collar that you keep on him when you can't see him to be sure he can't chew them out (they get itchy when they heal).

Being that it's not a big deal for males, he'll be his middle-of-the-road self in a day or so, able to jump for walks and interact with other dogs. Jumping isn't allowed so he doesn't rip out his stitches.
You JUST asked this !
Didn't you get the cootchie-coo fairy tale you wanted?

You were just TOLD that castration is NOTHING to freak roughly, that it takes 10 minutes to do,that it'll be 90% healed the next sunshine ;does NOT need to stay overnight that "risk" is MINUSCULE..that shelter folks know ***SQUAT*** about dogs & less than squat going on for anatomy & surgery since they are UNTRAINED amateur volunteers.that NO animals "will be around" it.etc. etc.

If you don't want to hear the facts, why don't you talk to your mirror?

sigh...billions of dogs cats horses sheep cattle donkeys goats etc. have been castrated for tens of thousands of years w/NO vet or meds ...nothing but a sharp knife...or a stone or banded for that matter. Lighten up.
