Pomeranian howling and bark at nil contained by fussy? ?
My pomeranian boy is about 6 months old (not neutered on the other hand, he will be though) and sometimes when he's in the family room sleeping or playing with a toy, he'll adjectives of a sudden stop what he's doing and bark and growl like crazy at nothing! He sort of points to the kitchen where on earth the door to the garage is but there's nothing going on there.
has this happen to anyone else? what in the world is my dog doing? it's really weird!

i really dont no i love pomeranians if anything take it to the vet ASAP it may be sick or injured
dogs have sensitive ears. Thy hear lots of noise that we don't. Our chihuahuas take spells where they will run into the back room and out the doggy door bark like mad, but I usually do not hold a clue what they are baking at.
he might be just be audible range mice ar rats etc. outside don't worry but if its bothering you get hold of a bark collar
Pomeranians are known to be barkers. So annoying. Sorry. I once have
one and loved him but the barking was irritating.
Sometimes my dog will stare off into space or bark out of nowhere.
I don't know why, but he doesn't do it regularly.

Answers: There's nought wrong with ur pom. One thing you must remember is that dogs have fundamentally sensitive ears and they can hear things that we may not necessarily hear. On that note, pomeranians are very fussy. (I have one and she drives my neighbors CRAZY!) You enjoy to make sure that u are socializing ur pom and getting him used to different sounds because he will bark at the drop of a dime. I know how frustrating and sometimes startling their dignified pitch howls can be, but you just have to try to socialize ur pom as best u can.
