Problem beside a Black Lab's river consumption?

We have a 1 1/2 year old Black Lab. Starting this morning he began to drink excessive amounts of hose. His drinking bowl holds about 2 1/2 quarts and he emptied it four times. Needless to say he have been out quite a few times today. Just a few minutes ago he voided his bladder adjectives over the living room floor without asking to go outside.
His diet have not changed - he does not have access to chemicals - no one has given him any strange food - his regime have not changed.
Any one have any suggestions before we take him to the vet contained by the morning. We only have one country vet - 45 miles away - and she does not friendly the office for small animals after hours.
Good impression to take him to the vet for a check up.

But why do you keep putting water down for him, why not pick it up so he doesn't own access to excessively drink?
It would be perfectly locked for you to pick up his water bowl for the night if you are taking him to the vet within the morning. If you are concerned about dehydration simply pull up the skin along his back. whether it stands up or goes back down slowly then he is dehydrating. There are a myriad of problems that can create excess water consumption. For my six-year-old cat it was diabetes. And yes, it's possible, even in a childlike pup. When he urinated in the house did you notice an unusual smell or color to it? Any blood contained by it? Just to let you know you could be looking at a battery of tests until that time this is figured out. Or your pup may just really enjoy his hose. But for the night, pick it up. It won't hurt him
mine did the same thing the other light of day... it could be sick or has a urinary infection causing it to do that.
i am almost sure your dog is diabetic the number one sing of this is drinking alot of water try this filch the water away dose he beg for it? you realy nedd to pilfer to a vet if this has just started you may beable to relieve your dog with a new diet good luck
This can be a symptom of Cushings disease. Don't take the water away from your dog and obtain him to the vet as soon as possible.
i would just wait it out until the morning. but good on you for bringing him surrounded by. my precious little man goes anytime i notice even the slightest change. better to be protected than sorry, right?
thats very extraordinary.
my black lab hardly drinks at all hes like a camel. your dog is probably a short time ago a little bit sick, im sure he'll be ok. just hang on to an eye on him
Your dog could be suffering from diabetes or Cushing's disease. You should hold her evaluated by a veterinarian ASAP as dogs in diabetic ketoacidosis become very sick very like greased lightning.
He may have diabetes mellitus. Let him drink as much as he wants. Diabetes is treatable, usually consists of insulin injections & special diet. Good luck!
Just stop filling up the water bowl when he's finished.
Is it hot where you live? Was he outside for longer after usual? Medically he could have dog diabets or something with his kidneys. I would monitor his water consumption for the subsequent day or so, if it contiunes then cart him to the vet for some blood work.
he could be sick. when my labs get sick they drink water endlessly! but next again labs just naturally are obsessed near water
Answers:    Definately keep a bowl full of water for him...even whether he has to go outside every 10 min to pee. You dont want to stop giving him hose because he is obviously in need of it. When you jump to the vet in the morning make sure you achieve blood work done, thats the best way of finding out whats going on inside. Good Luck with your dog!
What should I do whether the mother of the pups doesn't want her infant?   Is a komondor right for me? ?   Why my womanly dog is constantly licking fabric, toils..?   Wimpy dog, bark over nought, support?
