Question in the order of my Dog?
My Dog is scratching his ears a lot and he whines when he does as whether in pain...I looked in his ears and saw that it be all cut up and red? I think that it is ear mites so I went to Wal Mart and get the pack and put it in his ears and he shakes it out... It is helping a bit, but for some reason he still scratches and cuts...
He is a 7 year prehistoric Mut of three different dogs doberman pincher and Rottweiler and Black Lab. He is healthy and occasionally gets into something out in the country and pukes for awhile. He have not done that for awhile now... He is fine except for the ear right now...
... So, should I lug him to the vet? Or try new medicine? Also, is this ear mites?

I think you know the answer to this, you have to pilfer him to the vet before the infection becomes so deep seated it cause any more problems.
Answers: The vet putting a smear from the ears lower than a microscope is the true test if this is ear mites. Additionally if the dog have been digging at the ears and inflicted damage he could have lesser infection. Go to the vets.
dont continue take him to the vet if its more serious than mites then youll never forgive yourself
Do not self medicate your dog, you can make matters even worse. Take the poor thing to the vet's, NOW!
