"Constantly" bark dogs?
I have had two chow mix dogs for nine years. Today I received a warning from animal control that they are disturbing the peace. The officer also states to "find a channel to quiet them immediately or a citation will be issued". I asked her how much it would be, because once someone complains, it's to win rid of the dogs. If they take my dogs to the pound, they'll kill them. Any help out near?
This happened to us once.. We were playing outside beside our dog and someone called. However they never called back. Im not certain what you can do about it though, sorry.
Dog lovers seem to hate this answer but it works, a shock collar. A few times bark and they stop. It's negative reinforcement immediately following negative behavior and deeply effective. After a week of wearing the collar you can put on a dummy collar that feels the same. Same principle as wireless fence
A friend of mine had to do it or A) give up his dog B) find another place to live. Personally I don't think it's cruel. And bark dogs can be annoying as hell.
If it's getting that bad you might want to consider getting a kinda alarm for your dog. What it does is emit a high ultra-sonic nouns when the dog barks. The dog hears the noise and stops bark because the sound is very uncomforable to their ears. The dog soon learns that whether it barks the sound goes stale...they stop barking.
HOWEVER...if you have trained your dog to yap when someone comes by your home this would be cruel. Thus, you should confine your dog at least to a part of the domestic where your dog can't see out the front door and is bothered by that distraction.
Also, when you're home, please turn off the device. Remember, it is uncomforatable to them Teach them QUIET COMMAND so after you can tell them to be quiet and not have to fully reley on the device.
IMPORTANT...whether you decide to get this please make certain it isn't set too high for your dogs. Some dogs are more sensitive and this could be set too high.
1) Train quiet command
2) Confine to peaceable area of home away from front door
3) Try the device (can be found at Pet Smart or other pet stores)
I have a dog that bark alot as well and I find that if you give them lots of attention, it calm them down. Also, if they are barking non stop, especially at the porthole, it usually means that they want some attention. I'm not sure whether you are allowed to do this and it also depends on how big the dogs are, try bringing them inside and maybe letting them sit on the couch with you while you survey TV. Most dogs like human interaction. Finally, when feeding your dogs, always get sure that you give them their food after you have eat yours. Dogs live in packs (groups) and it is important for them to know where on earth they fit in with the pack. I hope this helps and well brought-up luck! :)
Try exercise your dogs they could be bored out there mind so they bark...u should exercise them at least possible 2 times a day for 30 minutes or more this could work and they shouldn't rarely bark.. help yourself to them to the dog a park and let them run or just walk them. Or find some fun activives for them to do maintain them busy..or ask a trainer what to do
This will work if you dont exercise your dogs enough
I assume they are contained by your backyard? Can you hear them also, but you are just used to the barking. Try putting them in a garage, or within the house. If that doesn't do it, you may have to get rid of them. I know it sounds harsh, but the neighbor may be trying to sleep while they are bark.
Answers: hi,
Just as human language is multifaceted and multipurpose, barking allows a dog to communicate many different messages within a variety of situations. It can signal a request to an owner ("Hey, I want to go external!"), impart a warning ("You're in my territory!"), or simply serve to amuse when a dog have little else to do.
here's a treatment:

hope this helps.
Maybe you should play beside your dogs more. They might be acting this way because they never get exercise. Dogs that size need to run for close to 30 minutes a day, everyday. If you don't have time for that, maybe you shouldn't enjoy dogs.
There are many different ways to get dogs to stop barking. Training, keeping them inside whether they've been allowed outside with not a soul to tell them to stop barking, collars that help prevent bark.
I don't understand what you mean by " once someone complains, it's to get rid of the dogs". They don't want you to acquire rid of the dogs but they do want you to get rid of the barking. Consult a trainer, or a vet, or both, to see what you can do. Do it now, because contained by my experience, it takes a fair amount of barking over a long extent of time for most people to get around to making an official complaint. Whoever complained is probably pretty feed up with the noise.
