Shivering ,teeth chattering senior?

I have a 15 year old corgi/doxie mix.
She had be dx with elevated kidney levels in June and have been switched to Purina NF kidney diet. She is eating, drinking, and otherwise acting normal beside the exception of ,shivering to the point of teeth chattering the past 2 days.I see no blood in her urine and she is urinating normal amounts.Granted, here surrounded by Florida we have had a drastic drop in warmth this past few days of down to the 30's and 40's during the night.

Could she just be cold or should I investigate the opportunity of something else going on?

i don't think she would be cold if she is in the house i would ask the vet give or take a few it.
You said you have a major drop in cold weather... I will assume she is inside?

Shivering, shaking or trembling can be indicative of an illness, injury, or a medical condition, so it's influential that pet owners take this behavior seriously when it occurs in a pet.

There are several causes for shivering
1.Fever - high fever that may make happen shivering. Both a dog and cat’s normal body temperature is between 100.5 to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Also IF the frenzy is high enough this can cause the teeth to chatter...
2. When a dog shivers excessively or suddenly starts shaking it may clever (I would) consult your veterinarian, as a sudden onset can be a symptom of pain. Shivering is the body’s natural response to discomfort and discomfort that usually results from an injury or illness
3. Feeling cold..
4. Being scared or timid
5. Hypoglycemia
6. Infection
Hope this helps and Good Luck

Answers:    Call your vet and ask your vet who KNOWS your dog.
You didn't say if she's been external in this cold weather.

Your vet has an on-call vet if s/he's not on-call over the weekend, so phone today. You shouldn't ignore this type of symptom in such an outdated dog with a diagnosis of elevated kidney levels. She could be having other problems and time is important in treating her if she's getting worse. -!-
My dog shacked a lot and we took her to the doctor and they said that it be her way of crying. So she is feeling pain! My dogs headache was a tumor but it was to late. we have to put her to sleep :{ I hope it's better for you:]!
She could be distressed, this is something that some dogs do when they are unwell. It could be a sign that she is feeling horrible and doesn't know what to do with herself, near her kidney's being compromised, it could be a sign that her body is being poisened by toxins not being removed from her system. Please win her checked out with your vet quickly.
