A Yorkshire Terrier is your best bet. They can be protective, but also massively affectionate and patient.
Answers:    The Maltese and Yorkie are two of the most popular dog breeds across the world. They are very similar to respectively other and which ever you choose you need to be prepared to look after him.

Both breeds require a lot of grooming, other wise knot tend to form and the fur becomes mattered. Leaving it to come to this stage is absolutely horrible and an even bigger career to get out. The Maltese has white fur and around the eyes, dogs tend to get tears stains. However, you don't interest it much on dog with the darker fur. The Maltese being white, finances they are easily seen and the markings are usually vanished behind.

Terriers are diggers and real barkers. Again which ever one you choose you will get this trait contained by both. Not all dogs bark though and then again not adjectives dogs want to play. You will find a Maltese to be less playful than a Yokie. You will find the Yorkie to be the better watch dog but then you will also find they are strong to house break and that yes, they do become aggressive to small and unfamiliar dogs.

Both breeds live to be about the same age, the Maltese possibly high though. All breeds get medical problems that are just apart of who they are. It is quite adjectives for a Maltese to get skin conditions due to white fur. While it is quite common for Yorkies to take early tooth decay.

As you can see they are both very similar to respectively other. I would suggest that you adopt a Maltese out of shelter. They tend to be gentle, loving, trusting and devoted to their master. They are very intelligent and feeling like to learn, still, they are the better choice if another dog lives in the household. Research is a must so here is a great site..
