Should I steal my small dog to the vet because of this...?

I have a 2 lb. pomeranian who was accidently squished in a door nowadays, trying to run through the crack while it was closing. He yelped for a second, and have been limping. When I touch the leg it does not make him cry, it does not look or feel swollen, and I am pretty certain it is not dislocated, as it does not feel completely limp... He has be eating/drinking/pooping/peeing all normally, even chews his dog chews- just does it adjectives on 3 legs. Think it is just sore?- or could it really mean a trip to the vet? How long should I wait? Thank you.
Here is a pic so you can see how soaring he holds it up, if that helps at all. His foot is right above the ground- hind moved out leg.

If he doesn't react whether you touch it or move it in any way, I would personally skulk until Monday unless it gets worse, so long as you didn't seriously SQUISH him. But it's your call, some people fly to the vet at the soonest sign of injury, and they may very well be right in doing so. I own a small dog who occasionally gets stepped on, and he might hold the foot up for a bit but he puts it back down and is fine again before enormously long. But if he continues to hold it up throughout the day or shows any sign of pain, telephone the vet.

And if he really did get seriously squished, then markedly to the vet right away, because it could be more than just the leg.
I would purloin a wait and see approach from what you have described. My husband was lying surrounded by bed with his boots on, swung his leg over and got my Yorkies leg with his boot. The Yorkie scream and we held him and cooed him to soothe him. He limped for about 15 minutes. I gave him a dose of Rimadyl and contained by about 20 minutes he was walking fine. Good luck!
If he is holding it up it means somewhere it hurts. It could be his knees was twisted or toes were pinched.Did you check on his knee(patella) to see if it is loose which could enjoy been twisted when door shut on him.
Come on, this dog needs the vet. You have no concept what's wrong with that leg, but he's holding it up. Clearly it's injured. Not to mention, the internal injuries he may have. Don't leave him within pain any longer - take him to the vet!
Answers:    absolutly not.

dont take your dog to the vet unless when you touch it he yelps because all youll take is them saying just let him rest and a $3000 dollar bill

small dogs close to that are babies. my poodle does that all the time for something simple like a splinter or if my 4 year hoary nephew steped on her foot.

hes fine. just wait till tomorrow hell forgetr about it.
It sounds as though you could wait a couple days. As long as it doesn't swell bigger. I bet its just sore. Good Luck, and a speedy recuperate to your baby!
wait iff he still does it monday filch him btw that the cuteist little puppy awwww and i own a dog that was born wifh 3 feet he has adjectives his legs jus missing a foot and the vet said he can keep his legs jus as long as it doeit open and start bleeding soo so far so moral he will be 1 soon his name is camo
Take him to the vet for a total check up. Tiny dogs are fragile and can be easily hurt - it may be broken or it may be just sprained.
It doesn't sound too serious, wait until Monday and whether he doesn't act any better take him in to see the Vet.
What an adorable pom! So sweet!

Well, it looks like your dog is honestly young; and if so that is a angelic thing. But, if he is still holding the foot up tomorrow, I would certainly enjoy it looked at by a vet.

I will relate something that happened to our little Shih Tzu puppy when she was only in the region of 9 weeks old. She was laying against my husbands recliner, and when he slammed it down within a hurry to do something, she got 'compacted' between the chair and the floor! Poor little sweetie, tried to crawl to me, barely whimper, and we thought sure she was going to die. We called the vet, took her for an emergency call in, and she was examined carefully, (but, by then, started acting customarily again), and the vet said, "She's very lucky she's so young...because at that age, they are like malable 'plastic' and their little bodies can clutch more than when they are older." She was fine, and is fine to this day, over 2 1/2 yrs subsequent, praise God. So, I would say, don't constantly be picking up the paw and squeezing it or anything. Just watch her closely, and bear her to your vet should she still favor that foot in another day.
Good luck, and many fit and happy years ahead with that adorable little baby.
