Small bumps on dog's upper final and shoulders?
My pitbull puppy is almost a year old and I just adopt her a month ago. At first she had one bump apear on her back and you cant see its a bump you can just see where on earth the fur is messed up a little bit. They are very small bumps and they just started coming increasingly over the past couple of weeks. I thought she may be allergic to the food I give her but my other puppy is just fine. I dont know what the bumps are and they dont bother her when I rub my foot over them. But they are spreading so I wanted to know maybe what they were. They dont hold puss and you cant even see them under her coat. She is a chocolate pit and I read where they are more prone to skin problems. Help!
If you let you dog run around external without any supervision he might have gotten into something he wasn't suppose to and it might have cause some tumors. Or if you try scratching the bumps and his leg moves it is something very adjectives on dogs. He might just have the regular itches. I would suggest calling a vet since taking him to one and ask the what it might be. I would call the vet before taking him so I would not have to foot the price of them just telling me all dogs take them and the bumps will go away soon. I have a dachshund and she get them all the time and they go away in 2 weeks.
I am not sure what is cause the bumps; however, just because one dog isn't allergic to a certain food doesn't mean your pitbull can't enjoy allergies to something in the same food. I would take her to the vet and after try changing her food. If you know that they have skin problems, do you know what most are allergic too? A lot of dogs are allergic to grains or corn. You could try a food to be precise grain-free & doesn't have a lot of corn as fillers. Good luck.
Answers: A vet needs to check any lump or bump, freshly like a doc needs to check a human.
