Taking my dog to the groomers or do it at domestic?
I have a 9 month pom. I want to take him to the groomer to get his ears cleaned, teeth cleaned and nail trimmed. I do all of this at home myself on a consistent basis but I be wondering if it was neccessary to take my dog to a professional groomer and return with it professionaly done once in awhile. and if so.. how often?
If you are doing it properly at domestic, there should be no need for a groomer.
whether you feel confident that you are doing it correctly i wouldnt bother taking it to the groomer, plus i dont trust any one except myself, family and the vet to verbs my dogs ears etc.
if you are concerned about your dogs ears and nails etc pilfer them to the vet and get them checked out propally.

Answers: If your doing a polite job, I'd keep doing it at home- it's cheaper and you can tell whether your dog is acting strangely in a spot. It's also a great way to bond with your dog.
I think that it would be a flawless take your dog to the groomer every month or so just to insure that everything is being done properly.
If you can adequatly do it yourself.. then why pay a groomer to do it?
A dog like this should see a professional groomer nearly once a month.
To get his teeth properly cleaned, you'd want to take him to the vet. It's much simpler and easier on the dog to trim his nails and clean his ears (when needed) yourself. And whether you brush his teeth daily, he won't need dentals at the vets extraordinarily often, either.
