Wellness dog food problem?
I've been feeding my 10 month old mini dachshund Wellness Just For Puppy for a couple of months immediately. He's done great on it. A few weeks ago, I got another mini dachshund pup and slowly transitioned him onto Wellness. Well now, the new pup have the most horrendous gas and runny stools. Has anyone else encountered this with Wellness?
He only eats can food and once or twice got into my labs dry food and that is the confirmed problem.
Of course Im not a vet and her wiener dog may just be allergic or who know to dry stuff.
Be careful with the runs, for a little doggie it could dehidrate him pretty snatched.
Hope this helped.
I nurture the Wellness Just For Puppy to my 9 month old Havanese and he has done great on it. I haven't heard of anyone have problems with it but it is very possible. Just because a food works well for one dog doesn't mingy it will work for every dog unfortunately. All dogs will react differently. His symptoms may clear up in time (though you must produce sure he doesn't get dehydrated), but if it is the food you may also want to try a different food. Some comparable brands are Innova, Orijen, Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo, Solid Gold, Avoderm, and Organix.
My dog hated Wellness to the point where she refuse to eat it.The person at the store stated it was illustrious in grains which my dog apparently did not like I get her a non grain food and she has been doing great.I intuitively am not a fan of Wellness..
Are you feeding respectively puppy from it's own dish, or letting them share? Sometimes, what you are experiencing is from too much food... perhaps that puppy is stealing or getting more than his portion?
Or, it might be the food LOL! Wellness is good food, but maybe a moment ago not the right good food for that puppy.
However, Its the same with just just about any dog food. Some dogs do well on a certain food, and others don't. Nothing wrong with the food forsay, merely the different dogs different makup.
You may have to feed your dogs separatly and find a different brand for the other puppy. I significantly reccommend a food that has fewer ingredients.. fewer ingredients way less chances of stomache upsets. California Natural is a good start.. wellness also make allergy formulas call "simple solutions".. it may also be the grains that the pup is having a problem beside.. something like wellness core or innova evo may be an option then.
