What do ya'll focus of pugs?

I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into getting a dog within in the subsequent year or so, and he said if he did he wanted just a small dog until we take a house with enough land for a bigger dog. Which is completely pardonable. A couple nights ago I was watching Dog 101 on Animal Planet and they did a section on Pugs. I be just curious as to whether they were as easy to thinking for as they made it out to seem. And if there be really any other medical problems with them other than the bulging eyes. And do you think that a pug is a accurate companion for a 7 year old?
I watched that show beside you.
Are you just going to keep it until you get another one and throw the pug on the curb? That's what it sounds approaching. If you get a dog, just keep it.
I deem the pug would be okay for kids. I've never had any personal experience with them, though.
Pugs do have some health issues. The switch here is to get it from a responsible breeder ... not a backyard breeder.

I got my pug from a responsible breeder. He is 8 years old and never have a health issue. On the other hand my 8 year old shih tzu/poodle mix have issues.

A pug is a good companion for anyone.

Edit: I hope you intend on keeping the pug while you get a bigger dog?
Answers:    omg pugs are cute

my dog is a pug x maltese and he the most gorgeous thing (we rescued him from the dog shelter in june)

mixed breeds are other better as there are less health issues puggles are recommend for homes beside kids as they are gentle (pug cross beagle)
Please don't get a pug unless you plan to hang on to him or her; too many people don't think things through. With that said, I hold a 5 year old rescued pug. He loves everyone and everyone who likes dogs loves him. He would be great with a 7 year out-of-date. Pugs do snore and have some other potential health problems which you can easily research on the pattern (I did before getting him), although eye problems seem to be the most common. You call for to be aware of a tendency to mark among even neutered males. They do not tolerate even moderate grill. They need their wrinkles wiped out and of course they requirement a periodic bath and a light brushing every few days approaching any dog. They require light exercise. I will tell you this after having my pug for simply a few months: I doubt I will ever again have any other kind of dog.
Wondering whether anyone on here still believes contained by not fixing their dogs.?   How do i attain a dog?   Why did my FEMALE dog mount my MALE KITTEN??   What is a biddable cross to confer a German Shepherd?
