What is a moral solution for a dog that have terrifically dirty eyes from digging holes?

What is a good solution to wash the eyes of a dog that has exceedingly dirty eyes from digging holes
they have products at petshops for eyes. theyre like pad with a solution of them or wipes. go to a pet store and ask.
I just use warm river with a mild soap like Ivory gooey and then apply and wipe with PECs ear cleaner swabs. They're like giant Q-tips for dogs. Work really powerfully around the eyes as well as ears.

Btw, I'm assuming you mean "around" the eye not cleaning the eyeball itself as another responder seem to think. If you're concerned about dirt in the eye you visibly would not want to use soap (I'm not that dumb lol). Just use lukewarm water or a saline rinse.
Answers:    NO soap on the eyes! Gentle luke warm water and not a spray, just placid rinse. The eyes have a natural film that protects them from ruins. If you use too much water and or pressure it will damage the eyes. First brush away from the eyes the dirt next to a clean cloth, that should take care of most of it. Then meekly rinse the head and eyes, do not rub the eyes or peel back the lid to see if there is dirt in nearby, this will scratch the cornea and could permanently damage the eyes. If the dog does this on a regular reason, I would not think you have much to worry just about, the eyes take care of themselves really well. If you are within doubt at to infection or irritation, speak to your vet about this ongoing digger dog's eyes.

Dog meekness and agility?   I own a unusual puppy :] Suggestions ?   What's the best designation for a dog?   Can a Pit bull obtain along next to my cat? ?
