What is a honourable natural diet for a pitbull?
I have a red nose pitbull and would like to start him on a unprocessed diet but I'm not sure how do go about doing so or what the best combination of fruits and vegetables are for him.
prey model is the best type of raw diet. You do not feed fruits, vegetables, or grains. All you nurture your dog is whole raw meat and bones.
Do the research, there are many correct varieties of raw diets or BARF diets out there. The historic issue to remember is that the meat you are feeding them is free of hormones and antibiotics and is fresh. If you're not willing to eat the protein you are giving them next don't give it to them. You may need to supplement them with vitamins and fundamental minerals to ensure that they get all they need to grow strong and sound.
why would you need/want to nurture your dog raw meat?

Answers: Your dog have no need for fruits and veggies. Dogs digestive systems are short, and they lack amino acids to digest them properly. This coupled with their short digestive tract have fruits and veggies coming out pretty much the way they went.
You shoot for an 80/10/10 ratio. 80% meat, 10%bone and 10% organ half of which should be liver. You nurture 2-3% of the dog ideal weight daily.
A well-mannered staring point in feeding your dog would be chicken leg quarters, bone within breasts, or halved or quartered chickens. Feed this for a couple weeks then append in some organ meat.
Raw diet needs variety, but to much choice to soon can cause some diarrhea.
Things on my dogs menu are:
Chicken all parts
Turkey all parts
Cornish Game Hens
Rabbit adjectives parts
Beef except weight bearing bones
Pork apart from weight bearing bones
Deer again no weight position bones
Whole fish
Lamb
You want to avoid the weight bearing bones of large mammals as these are markedly dense and can break a tooth.

He doesn't need any fruits. Some veggies are ok. Mostly meat. Just Search for Prey model or Barf or Raw.
I do a combo.I feed glorious quality raw meats plus a big quality no grain allergy free kibble.
