What is a apt dog clipper?
my dog is a cocker spaniel/poodle/papillon. her fur is mostly like a mix between all three. it is thick, and loving of curly. what would be a good clipper to use on her? I'd like under $100. websites or how things worked for you would be great!
also, don't propose that I bring to the groomer
um even whether you get a cheap pair of clippers you have to rate for the up keep, your going to have to replace blades and the clippers with within a few times,
that alone will cost you overall more than going to the groomers
you cant get a good job done next to out the whole process, and mixes with cocker and poodle in them are the worse to do next to out the proper materials
there are no good clippers lower than $100 that wikk work good on your dog. If you are looking into grooming your own dog please get yourself aquainted with the dogs ananomty b-4 attempting nearby is so much skin that you can knick. I use a Laube they are very powerful and unfourtunatly they are very exspensive, but they last forever whether you take care of them right., I would look fofr a clippers with at least possible 4000 rpms that way you know it will go thru the coat without pulling,
Andis 2 speed is good, but it is not under $100.00. Don't forget that you get what you clear for. If you plan on grooming your dog yourself, I wouldn't go with a cheap clippers.
Be careful, you can do some skin damage to a Cocker if you don't know what you are doing when it comes to clipping the dog.
Under $100.00 is not a obedient clipper IMO.
Answers: I personally like the oster or andis with the detachable blades..
For underneath $100, this is probably the best deal, as it comes with 3 blades.

Cheaper clippers are often cheap for a pretext tho.. they do not last as long, do not cut as well.. and I find that they also heat up more like a shot than a more expensive pair. If you are looking at just keeping face/feet/butt trimmed.. its fine.. but if you are wanting something to do adjectives over grooming, you may want to invest in a set of clippers that are a little more expensive.
Do be careful using clippers, you can glibly injure a dog if you dont know how to use them properly.. its very easy to slash ears, or cause clipper burns!
I use the Oster Fast-Feed clipper on my dog. It costs about $90 at Sally Beauty stores. Or you can take it online at www.sallybeauty.com
