What is a appropriate dog food?

I am feeding nutro naturial lamb and rice puppy fourmila to my pup right now but just read that the nutro brushing bites be recalled. I have thought about Blue Buffalo. I solitary want to feed something with no animal by products and corn.
I am feed blue Buffalo to both my two dogs right now. Both of them got great coats shinny and silky and thats even before a tub. I can't believe how much they have changed since switching to that food. It might not be theeee top out there but it's definetely one of the better foods. I've been told at petsmart that its here best food in the store. i feel i have made the right choice contained by my dog food.

here check out the website.
Nutro does brand a good quality food, unfortunately they do appear to be having recalls on almost a regular spring and have cut down their product line dramatically.

My suggestion would be to go next to Eagle Pack, Eagle Holistic, Evo (this will take the longest time period to adjust to as it is almost pure meat), Wellness Core, Fromm (not certain if that's nationwide), Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul, or California Natural

We use purina puppy chow right now.
www.dogfoodproject.com can tell you what to avoid.

I dont feel telling you what foods are appropriate is going to help you, it might help you right now, but surrounded by the long run, knowing how to pick out a good food is where you start.

Anyway, just incase, most of the foods mentioned are righteous foods, here are my top ten foods:
Evo
Innova
Orijen
Taste of the wild(all varieties)
Wellness core
Instinct(grain free)
Solid gold(mainly barking at the moon)
Blue wilderness
Before grain
timberwolf

The dog food analysis page truly mimic my top ten mostly, it is just more thorough.

If you want optimum health without the hefty price flap, go with a raw diet, a moment ago do your research.
www.bigdogsporch.com can help you with any diet you choose, but many are okay experienced in raw feeding.
Merrick, Wellness, Innova are all good brands. Blue Buffalo is pretty well-mannered too. Here are some good sites for more info:

*Good luck and i hope this Helps*

table bits and bobs put in a dish are good. don't give them to him straight from the table bc specifically a bad habit. You can give him lots of hearty food and he will eat it if you put some chicken broth on it
Blue Buffalo is a good food...I individually feed all 6 of my dogs Merrick food (wet and dry combos) and have be extremely happy with the overall results. Other good foods include Wellness, Orijin, Canidae...I did abundantly of label reading before settling with Merrick.
I use orijen but heres a great website for all sorts of dog foods
http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_...
Blue Buffalo Wilderness is the best food for your dog. All Blue Buffalo food is very good, so I would suggest starting next to the puppy food, then switching to the wilderness. I did this with my pup and he is surrounded by the best shape of any dog I have seen.
oh for petes sake , feed them leftovers.
Innova Evo
Canidae
Wellness

If there are no stores contiguous that sell these brands, you can try Solid Gold grain-free (available at PetCo-type stores), but I'd recommend that you try the first three before anything else.
Answers:    Nutro has indeed have recalls on their foods. Honestly, Nutro isn't that wonderful a food anyway!

Not all pet food is made equally. A lot of it is full of corn, by-products, dyes, unhygienic preservatives, filler grains and all sorts of nasty stuff. A lot of pet food companies are without blemish happy to the dump cheap leftovers and things that aren't safe for human consumption (from human food processing plants) into their foods. Will it butcher your dog? No, it has to be nutritionally complete and safe to even be market. Is it healthy? Not by a long shot.

Corn is a low quality ingredient you never want to see in your pet food. Corn and low part grains are two of the biggest culprits when it comes to food allergies in our pets.

Thankfully, there are some excellent dog foods anyone made these days that include organic, human grade ingredients to some extent than trash not fit for human consumption.

Examples of low quality foods to avoid: Anything you can find in a grocery store will be low end, Purina, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canin, Pedigree, Kibbles n' Bits, Beneful, Ol'Roy.

Examples of big quality foods to look for: Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold, Canidae All Life Stages, Fromm Four Star, Merrick, GO Natural, Nature's Variety Prairie, Nature's Logic, Artemis Fresh Mix, Timberwolf Organics.

Although the high quality foods are more expensive, you're getting what you're paying for. Less filler substance means more concentrated nutrients... this means you typically need to nurture far less of the high quality food than you would of the low trait one. Which also means less poop!

Before following your vet's food recommendation, keep hold of in mind that vets gain /very/ little nutritional training during their schooling. Besides that, what training they /do/ get is usually sponsored or taught by the crappy pet food companies! They also recurrently get paid to sell some of their products at their clinics (Science Diet, Royal Canin etc.)

A great alternative is to go with an entirely grainless diet. Many of the high point foods now put out grainless formulas. Some good grainless diets include: Innova EVO, Wellness CORE, Blue Wilderness, Nature's Variety Instinct, Orijen, Horizon Legacy, Merrick Before Grain, Canidae Grain Free All Life Stages, Fromm Surf & Turf, Now! and Sold Gold Barking At The Moon, Taste of the Wild.

Some pretty decent foods can even be found contained by common pet stores. Petsmart carries Blue Buffalo products (such as the excellent grain free diet Blue Wilderness). Petco carry Wellness, Solid Gold, Natural Balance, Eagle Pack Holistic, Blue Buffalo, Castor & Pollux Organix, Pinnacle, and Halo. If you can't find a food, most of the high quality food brands have websites near store locators on them.

Another option, if you can't find anywhere around you that sells suitable foods, is to order your pet food online. Here's an excellent place to do so: http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/

Remember that foods should be switched gradually (mixing new slowly surrounded by with the old over about a two week period), particularly when switching to a higher quality one, so as not to upset tummies.

Another option for feed dogs is to feed raw. This is something that should be thoroughly researched before one attempted:

http://www.rawfed.com/
http://www.rawlearning.com/
http://www.wysong.net/controversies/rawm...

Also remember that freefeeding (leaving food down) is the fast lane to canine obesity. Make sure to enjoy scheduled feeding times based on the feed instructions on your dog's food.
