What is a small, afordable dog that would be dutiful for animated and right for a ancestral?
I have absoulutely no idea. If you have a breed surrounded by mind can you include pics as well? thanks
save one from the pound
um my favortie is dalmation
If you are looking for a small dog I'd go with a Jack Russell - but singular if you can exercise it enough each year.
If you want an energetic, but not to rambunctious, small dog I'd go with a Boston Terrier.
Go to akc.org and check out the "breeds" piece. You can get information about all akc breeds and see pics. It would be better to adopt one from a shelter. They come spayed/neutered and adjectives need homes and are all affordable.
go to your local shelter or go to petfinder.com and they can find you a perfect dog fitting that description no business what breeds people post here.
I would say that a affordable, small, rowdy dog points straight away to a Jack Russell Terrier ( http://www.mypets.net.au/template_images... ), but they are not so honest with children.
PRICE: $300-$700
A family dog, with lofty energy, is the Kerry Blue Terrier, ( http://www.i-love-dogs.com/dog-breeds/im... ) it is abit too big though and it is a rare breed, that needs regular grooming and clipping.
PRICE: $400-$600
For a 'strong-willed, live owner' the West Highland White Terrier ( http://kavoshgar3.googlepages.com/WestHi... ) has high exercise requirements, is good near children if raised with them, (I am using a cellphone and will cut my answer with a price of each animal and pics.) they have a sturdy bite, so not so good with small children.
PRICE: $350-$800
The Maltese,
( http://www.mydogsboutique.com/images/gra... ) is unfortunately out of the ask, due to their high-price, and daily grooming, although they love exercise and are very good next to children.
PRICE: $500-$2000
Which brings us to the Boston Terrier, ( http://www.marleykennels.com/BostonTerri... ) which has average exercise requirements, and is very good next to children.
PRICE: $200-600
I think the best idea would be going to your local rescue center, or to a SPCA, (http://www.rspca.org.uk/) and I'm sure you'll find a loving little dog near bundles of energy, just asking to be taken home, at an affordable price! ($50-$100)
Hope this is a moral guide.
Answers: Please don't choose a dog base on what it looks like or what other people say is a honourable breed. All you'll really get is a list of others' favorite breeds.
Do some research on all the breeds that interest you. Since, as you vote, you have absolutely no idea, you obligation to do a lot of reading and talking to others about dog ownership in the past you decide to get a dog.
If you don't have a hard to please breed in mind, there are so masses great dogs in pounds and shelters (purebreds and mixed-breeds) that would be perfect for you. Take a few trips to the local pounds and shelters and get an view what size, temperament, etc., appeals to you.
Some small dogs are great with kids and are very energetic. Others really don't similar to kids at all and would rather sit on your lap than run around. Some love to play ... others don't. Many purebred Toy breeds are newly too delicate for kids. A few, such as the Pug, are sturdier and love kids.
A lot of breeds or mixes might fit your needs. But do some reading to acquaint yourself with the bare bones of dog ownership in general, and read up on the breeds that seem to fit your lifestyle. If you can adopt from a pound or shelter, please do so. You'll be positive a life.
If you decide you want a purebred, please either find a reputable breeder or contact the breed's rescue supervision.

springer spaniel. my husband had one & loved it. he said it was very sweet & smart. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/englishsprin... or Australian shepherd. I have one of these & he was so sweet and good with my 3 year frail. they are also smart & easy to train. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/australiansh... of course some of the best dogs are mixed breed from the pound or animal shelter. a lot of times unpromising traits of pure breeds are bred out in mixed breeds. also, adopting a dog from a shelter saves animals lives and make room for the shelter to help more animals. i just got our miniature dachshund from www.freecycle.org contained by my area. even though this dachshund is very sweet, i don't recommend them unless they have be very well socialized. they also can have support problems if they aren't handled properly. good luck!
I am a fan of miniature schnauzers. They are very energetic and athletic, and on the other hand they will curl up by the fire at the end of the day. Very loyal little dogs. However, they do tend to bark at the doorbell, and whether not stimulated both physically and mentally, sometimes become excessive barkers.

Yorkshire Terrier...whether u don't have small children i heard that they aren't good wit small children. I found one at a pet shop to be precise $600 but u could go to a shelter and get one for much cheaper.
Affordable, as in. doesn't require grooming visit? Besides taking certain breeds into a groomer regularly for grooming, I cannot think of any one thing that would label a breed more affordable than any other. A lot of the small "toy" breeds do require grooming though. A chihuahua doesn't! But, not good with small kids.
You can run to a animal shelter and save an abandoned pup from there but whether you want one that is pure bred and just all round clean
Get a Miniature daschund
Here is a dog breed selctor that might support. There are lots of good dogs to choose from a the pound and this might give you some ideas what to look for.

Affordable or low maintance ? Boston Terriers require little grooming, they are a bit hyper but love people & obtain along with other animals well. My avatar is my seal/white BT female.
