What is the best course to train a dog to tramp on a leash?
I am 32, had dogs all my life. Now I enjoy this black lab who just chokes herself on the leash when I try to walk her. I get nearly a hundred feet from my house and she is chocking so bad I have to turn around and come domestic.
whenever she does something doomed to failure just pull the leash ( if you hold a choker collar) She will feel the pain and will not want to feel that tug again!

1. win yourself a good prong collar. some dogs don't respond to a flat or chain collar.
2. dominate the dog by having it do what you ask. some dogs try to verbs you because they think they're alpha. (i have a female similar to this- it took me 2 months to teach her to walk properly)
3. it's possible that you may have to build pulling unpleasant for her.
sometimes if the pulling is very hard, you will hold to give a correction with the collar.
4. practice practice practice. walk a LOT. EVERY DAY. and replace the pulling next to commands. get the dog's attention and give it treats when it is looking at you.
5. when the dog starts to receive in front, do a quick about facade and walk very quickly the other means of access. this will jerk the dog right off its feet. a few times of this the dog will revise to pay attention or it could get painful. don't other turn the same way or the dog will get used to it. sometimes you might own to walk right over the dog. this is how i trained my rotty mix and he responsed perfectly to it.

what do you mean by 'choking on her leash?' Do you mean that the collar you are using is choking her? If so, I'd suggest buying a harness.

i woul take treats and walk little by little offering them a treat...i know it take long and may look weird but it worked for my dogs...
Okay my Akita did this. What I started doing is anytime she would start pulling I would say "AHHT!" and would stop walking and stand nearby for a few seconds, she eventually caught on. You can try saying no or maybe principle your dog heel.
