What is the best SMALL dog?
I want a small, friendly, dog.
(Not a chihuahua because my brother has one and he has tried for years to house break her and never has - he said they are a difficult breed to potty train and I don't want that!)
I would resembling something that doesn't have to be taken in for a haircut adjectives the time too...my grandmother's poodle has to get groomed constantly.
I guess I am kind of picky but I a short time ago want to make sure I get something that I will be sunny with.

It sounds to me like you want more of a fashion accessory than a pet. Dogs aren't adjectives fun and dress up, they are work. Training, grooming, feeding, vet care. etc.
Small dogs aren't anymore difficult to potty train than larger dogs, they just have smaller bladders so they are unable to hold it for as long as a hulking breed might. If your dog is going to be left alone all day (7-9 hours), you may want to potty train next to potty pads if he/she cant hold it long enough.
Second, I deduce that you should look at different breeds, and their personality traits, more so than their hair type.
Any small breed dog is harder to potty train on average than the larger ones. I would try using the dog breed selector to help you out. It will give you an idea of what breeds require more or smaller number grooming, their trainability and if they are good for first time owners. I find the results are often reasonably accurate.
Well, your brother must just not be that great at training dogs. ;) My Chi was housebroken surrounded by a month, and he never has any accidents. He's very loving, and loves most population. The only thing he really dislikes is big dogs. ...Or male dogs.

A Toy or Minuture Poodle are angelic.
West Highland White Terriers, you don't have to groom. They have a westie cut you could get but don't own to. They are not the crazy terrier, very sweet, gets along with other populace and animals.
The best breed of them all has not be mentioned yet, it's a Pomeranian, you can't do better.
go to your local shelter or rescue. you will enjoy more luck finding a dog to suit you because of the variety of mixes.

Answers: I have a chihuahua. They are not hard to potty train at adjectives, they just have small bladders. Anyway, I recommend a Yorkie, they are a sweet little breed of dog.
However, the mini schnauzer does not shed a lot, you might want to consider that breed as ably.
