When you cook rice for a dog how long do you cook it for?
and what type of rice do you use?
for one you should stick to dog food when feeding he/she human food doesn't hold the nutrients that dog food provides and second just an opinion but it is freshly a dog
Minute rice is the best. If you are cooking it for a sick dog, you can also add on boiled chicken. Make your rice and boil the chicken. Pull the chicken into small shreds and mix with the rice. Do not add anything for flavor. This is excellent to feed a dog near diarrhea, or vomiting. But take him off of his regular food until the diarrhea is cleared. Good luck

I swap between white and brown rice and use the 2 minute microwave sort. It's much easier and quicker than the regular type.
I usually use white rice, and cook it for duplicate amount of time that you would eat it. Maybe a bit mushier, so it's easier on their digestive system.
The brown rice is the best. It is more nutritious. Each bag should hold directions. Even minute rice is OK if you are in a hurry.
Cook it just like you would for yourself w/o the brackish. If your dog isn't sick you may want to consider brown rice. It has more of a nutritional value than white rice.

Answers: I just use the same rice I would use for myself and cook it the same instrument too (instructions on the bag). The only thing I do differently for my dog is maybe pour some chicken broth over it when it's done for flavor.
