Your local shelter.

Its not an actual breed.. its just your average husky mix.. that's all they are. You can find PLENTY of husky mixes in shelters and rescues.
Hi, American Indian Dogs are not alike as Native American Indian Dogs. Two different breeds.

American Indian Dogs are a Carolina Dog/Kelpie/Border Collie/Husky and Coyote cross.

Native American Indian Dogs are a Chinook,Husky,German Shepherd and Malamute cross.

Each breed has their own special needs. AID dogs are very moving, need a job to do, can be predatory and difficult to own and can be aggressive towards other dogs.

NAID generally tend to be larger dogs and do not close to to be left alone for long periods of time.If you work a lot consequently you will need another dog for companionship. NAID dogs do not do well as house only dogs, they call for a large yard to play in.

BOTH breeds necessitate a lot of socialization as puppies to become good canine citizens.

Ignore the fluff that you might read on the internet and ignore the certainty that some breeders bad mouth each other. Seems to be a issue between both breeds and their founders.

Most important near any breed is ask for a health guarantee in writing, if your breeder won't contribute you one, then walk the other way. I know for a certainty that all of the NAID breeders offer a health quarantee.

Good luck beside your quest.
Answers:    The Native American Indian Dog Registry may be able to give you some information:
http://www.americanindiandogs.com/index.

And as the NKC (National Kennel Club) is the only registry to adopt the breed you may see if they can help you in getting breeder reference.
Many people try to pass off mixes as American Indian Dogs, and regardless whether you run into the real breed or one of the fakes you'll likely find yourself looking at a few thousand dollar bill for a pup at tiniest.

It's arguable but the term "(Native) American Indian Dog" can also be used in reference to dogs that are mixes of Huskies, Malamutes, Chinooks, German Shepherds, and sometimes dogs from Indian reservations.
I love the look of a local american indian dog. They are so cute.
