Which puppy..???

i am really wanting a puppy this year for christmas. i was wandering what kind should i get.. the requirements are lives external, doesn't bark too much, active but not extremely hyper, cute, and well behave..
Go to the animal shelter and see if you can find one to fit your description. Getting an older dog is normally a lot less "work" and are usually smaller amount hyper than getting a puppy. Either way, please get a homeless one from the shelter and don't buy one from a store or breeder. :-)
I have a Yellow Lab. He has lived out side most of his time and he barely ever barks.
He is friendly and not too hyper, tho he was kinda hyper when he be younger.
He is very cute!
And well behaved.

Yours could too enjoy all these qualities, but you must out in the time and crack to train him and give him the attention they need. Seriously think approximately whether you are up to the job, and not just want one because they are cute.
Dogs aren't Christmas presents they are a big responibility.
IMO if the dog is to stay outside all the time and live here, then don't bother getting a dog. Most every breed wants to be with their pack leaders (you) and its not f¨ēte to the dog to make him/her live outside.

Besides, no good breeder let puppies go to new homes during the Christmas holidays - its too stressful on the pup.
Doesn't exist on so many levels.

Good breeders don't sell dogs for Christmas. Only irresponsible, immoral people do.

Dogs can't live outside. Dogs are social animals. They need to live contained by the company of people.

Dogs left outside will yelp and they wont be well-behaved because they are bored and lonely.

Honestly, you don't sound like you'd be a good interviewee for dog ownership. Maybe consider a cat.
Answers:    I have a dachshund and he is really cute and sometimes bark but knows better whether you teach the dachshund right. Dachshund's tend to be a little sneaky and they behave well. They don't bite unless your individual playful with them and they will playfully bite. I've had my Dachshund for a year now and he is really capably behave and is playful.

Good Luck with finding a puppy :]

People like you shouldn't be allowed to receive a dog, why get a dog if its going to be in your backyard adjectives the time, its not fair to the dog and is a form of abuse as far as most people are concerned because Dogs are pack animals and do not do all right living alone. DO NOT GET ANY DOG or PET. Feed the squirrels that run around your backyard and pretend there your pets because you'll have just as much interaction next to them then you would have if you get a dog. People are so unbelievable.
Scottish terrier??
Go to terrificpets.com and put breed selector look at the dogs click on the dog's you like and look at their form problems ,ranking etc ...

This will help you alot when you find a breed you like go to petfinder.com put the dog's breed and your fastener code and it will take you to alot of dogs of that breeds close to you=)
My personal favorite are Australian Shepherds. I have two tri coloreds. Mom and son. They are considered hyper, but mine are pretty calm- they do obtain to run around on 3 acres a lot though. They only bark when someone comes up the driveway or to the door. The male(puppy) is go between, and has bonded with me completely- he listens to me at once (and he was potty trained after 1 time and 1 accident because I took too long)- though he is not as quick at picking up tricks as his mother. The mom (4 years old) is really smart and generally listens very well, but she sometimes pretends not to hear you.

I hold no idea how they would do outside, mine would probably freak out.
I also like german shepherds, but they are 'too big' for my moms standards :)

mutts normally make better and more healthy pets than purebreds... more genetic material within their makeup...
you can look up different breeds on the AKC website too...
hope that was helpful and have fun near the puppy!

You can always travel to the SPCA and adopt one. Stores like PetsMart have dogs as well. Why would you want a dog that will only just stay outside and not be part of your family? A lonely duration for a dog.
beagles are pretty good choice. but as for living ourside... i dont really know. soak up life with your new puppy! :)
Rhodesian Ridgeback... Good manners, if you live somewhere warm like florida afterwards he can live outside. Never barks. (unless someone is attacking his master)
go visit your local shelter... The those who work there can suit your needs for a dog.. You'll also get an upclose expereince near different breeds, then you can choose which puppy you like best!!

Plus, you'd be doing a great favor for the homeless puppy!

Good Luck :)
I know you're going to hear this plentifully, but a dog isn't just for christmas.
