Why is my dogs obverse swollen?
My 6 year old Chihuahua's face is swollen, she's been throwing up clear throw up, she have the runs, and she isn't acting herself. What could be wrong? We are taking her to the vet but I'm wondering if any of you had experianced any of this with your dog formerly? What could I do to help her until I can get her to the vet? Thanks!
make her drink alot. it sounds like she can take dehydrated.
Its good that you are taking her to the vet! She may have gotten into something to be precise making her sick or maybe its an allergic reaction to something.
But the vet can tell you for certain. But it sounds like to me that she got into something she shouldn't have.
Good luck at the vet and I hope she get better!
Answers: It is likely that she ate something and it be either poisonous or she had an allergic counterattack to it. Also, another animal or bug may have bitten her. Here is a link to a site that deals beside this similar issue : http://www.petplace.com/dogs/facial-swel... . hope this helps and best of luck to your dog!!
She's have an allergic reaction to something..dogs faces often swell when they are have an allergic reaction.
Get liquids into her. Dehydration is dangerous to small dogs.
Try Gatorade. It has electrolytes.
