Why wont my dog get through around the kid?
Ever sense my sister had her baby my dog wont eat and shes not matching. Shes actually scared of the baby, and wont run near him. We watch the baby everyday and we generate a point to give the same amount of attention to the dog as we did before the tot. Ive been told to give the dog an item of the baby for her to enjoy. What should I do?
Have you had the dog since it was born? (are you the first owner) It might have be previously yelled at every time it went around a baby. Dogs are smart and remember when they do something right and wrong. So whether the dog was yelled at because he was to shut to the baby then he will be very shy and cautious around all babies. Giving the dog and baby equal attention while together and giving the dog treats while holding the child may make the dog more comfortable. Hopefully the dog will get over this. But don't expect it to without some work.
l can assure your dog will not starve. She is at the moment a little confused by this strange creature that cries loudly and you and the loved ones are gathering around. It will pass l can assure you although do not ever leave the babe-in-arms unattended with the dog at any stage which l am sure you already know.Dogs do get envious like humans and your pet is out of sorts as it was the centre of your World and immediately it thinks it has been replaced.Do not bother giving something of the babies to the dog it will merely increase its attitude to something foreign and she will accept the baby and start eating again so do not permit her play on your sympathy re eating by you giving your pet all sorts of goodies to encourage her to guzzle this is manipulative behaviour and dogs are famous for this.Just accept that she a bit uncomfortable at a new addition to the ethnic group

If she's alarmed of the baby, that's probably it. A lot of dogs wont eat when they are uncomfortable. You'll hold to let her get used to the baby, and contained by the meantime feed the dog someplace else where she'll be more relaxed.
Answers: Don't give anything of the baby's to the dog. You don't want the dog thinking he is equal to the baby. Your dog was not socialized around kids.. You want to slowly introduce the dog to kids of all ages and get him used to them.
That is very strange! You should ask a professional perhaps.
the dogs either alarmed that if it puts its attention on food then the baby will find it or he doesnt want the baby getting more attention so hes watching u n being over protective. hes probably just domineering
