Why won't my mannish rottie mount my feminine rottie?
My male rottweiler won't mount my female. Does the male know what to do? What should I do?
I think he won't mount her because he knows you are a dummy who shouldn't be breeding dogs.
Anybody who have to inquire about anything regarding dog breeding in Y!A is not qualified to be breeding.

show both dogs to their championship,, thereby deeming them to be of breeding quality - asset to the breed as a whole.
both dogs should own hips, elbows OFA'D ( dogs MUST be at least two years of age)
both dogs should be brucellosis tested PRIOR to breeding
both dogs should be CERF'd clear yearly.
then you must study their genetic HEALTH history.. to see whether they are even a compatible breeding match... you don't just breed two dogs of the same breed and expect to own a healthy decent litter

I know you want help, but if you don't already know the answer to this afterwards you shouldn't be breeding. It's not something that you just one day wake up and opt that you want to do.
It's probably best he doesn't because YOU obviously don't know what to do. Did you have these dogs' hips x-rayed? Tested for brucellosis? How about cardiac issues? Are they titled? What do they enjoy to offer to their breed as a whole? Do you have homes furrowed up for the puppies? If not, you are only contributing to a pet overpopulation problem.
maybe the male doesn't approaching the female that much but maybe you should give it some time and I don`t know they will do it. be patient
He is intelligent and know that his progeny will often end up in rescue centers or be put to sleep.Love your dogs .If you love dogs stop by the rescue centers before you allow them to mate and produce more dogs to be euthanized.
Answers: Years ago I have a German Shepherd and wanted to get her bred, I found a really nice male and took her to his house but he would not breed her.I finally carried him to my house and agree to him stay in the fenced yard with her and she be pushing against the fence asking the neighbors dog to breed her but the German Shepherd in the yard near her still wouldn't. I took him to the vet and the vet said that physically there was no reason he couldn't.I finished up spaying her and never got puppies so I don't know why some males don't have the Instinct to breed,if your certain she is in the fertile time of her heat. From 9-14 days usually..

How old is your masculine?Is she in heat?He may not be mature satisfactory.
She may not be ready to breed yet. Give it some time, she may not be season enough and same with him. Call your vet if after the NEXT steam cycle nothing happens.
