10 Points Best Anwser?
I have a 20 gallon tank with a white pot Belly Molly and a black Pot Belly Molly both females. the black one have babies twice now 2 survived the first time and then the second time 8 survived! very well i have a net breeder but i thought that they could survive without the neet breeder because the white molly doesnt intellect the babies but the black one did so i put the black pot belly molly downstairs in a 4 gallon tank by itself because it be chasing the white fish and then the fry could swim freely in the tank minus getting eaten, well my brother has a ten gallon reservoir which i put the first 2 fry that are the oldest in his tank and now i own the white molly and 8 black molly's in a 20 gallon tank and i want to know if they are girls and boys will they breed because at hand will be no-way that they will be the same gender, i saw earlier that 2 of the fry are chasing respectively other like i read that they will do if they breed and i dont have satisfactory room to keep the fry even though i know it will take 1 month for them to have the fry because i read that they call for to be at least 1 month old but they can still breed. I really need support with a really good anwser so im going to vote the best anwser and give the entity which i think that was the best 10 points soo hurry before someone else take the chance from you!!
i suggest you put all of them back within the net breeder...
The siblings will breed with respectively other.. A way to tell is when they mature for a moment bit.. the males will have a...thing call the gonopodium sticking out beside his anal fin. Its pointing to the backbone of the fish, toward the tail.. Heres a picture of a male http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Livebe6.jpg
Its a guppy, but male mollies and platies also have that.
Answers: Hi...Your new Fry's will mate with respectively other even though they are siblings. Here is a picture that shows the anal fin on the male. (the male is on the bottom and the female is on the top) http://www.bio.txstate.edu/~gabor/caito/...
Also, mollies become sexually live as early as 2-3 months old...however time varies on respectively fish. If you don't want a lot of babies you could seperate them in different tanks or catch a tank divider which usually run at about $9.00.
Hope this help.Any more questions feel free to ask!!
in good health wright now they sound entirely to young to be breeding so they are probably merely already seeing who is more dominant but yes when they are old enough they will defiantly breed hope that answers your query
um, its intricate to read what your saying. its a jumbled mess of who was where and why and who switched and what not. try using punctuation it help a lot and will help someone else out if you bowdlerize that so you might get a good anwer instead of confused people
