30 gallon fish reservoir on a solid wood desk, will the desk collapse?

My mom thinks my desk is going to collapse under the counterweight of my 30 gallon fish tank.

Do you think it will?

It's been on nearby for about a week, no signs of weakness.

If its been on there for a week you are probably safe, a gallon weigh around 8lbs so do the math.

Answers:    It should be fine. I have a 30-gallon on a relatively hoary (Think antique) desk that isn't even a full one; it's showing absolutely no signs of giving out. If there aren't any visible cracks or auduble noise like creaks or groans when you mess with the tank, next I would assume that it is strong enough to support the tank.

i got a 40 gallon tank on an older weeker desk it is a wood desk but its ancient and it isnt going anyhwere
