5 gallon or 2.5 gallon container for Betta?
I have a betta named Swimmy living in a 1 gallon reservoir at the moment. I would like to get a bigger one though. I was looking at the minibow aquariums and I be wondering if Swimmy would be happier in the 5 gallon or the 2.5 gallon tank? Please answer soon! I would resembling to get one for christmas.
Bettas probally only need a 2.5 but whether he is a very hyper fish i would get him a 2.5 i had one and get it a small tank.
Bigger is always better, so shift for the 5 gallon tank! The whole concept of them liking smaller spaces is a unwholesome myth. You'll also need a filter and a heater, since bettas like river temps at around 78-80 degrees. And it's important that you read up on fish tank cycling, since 100% wet changes on a 5 gallon is a bit impractical, and all fish fare better within cycled tanks.
Answers: 5 gallon for sure. If you get a five gallon you could attain him a few tank mates. If swimmy is a male do NOT bring a guppy. Corys would be a good Idea. Hope I helped!

It is really up to you price wise. If you are short on currency then I'd suggest the 2.5 one. But if you own money to spend the 5 gallon one.
Bigger is better, the water conditions are more stable and the cistern is easier to maintain.
2.5gal - OK for one betta
5 gal - Better.
Betta do not 'like' small containers. They like a bit of shelter like some plants, but their automatic habitat is rice FIELDS or slow flowing streams, you know, BIG places.

get a 5 gallon but also return with a betta seperater so you can have two at the same time
2.5 gallon. Bettas are happier in smaller places.
well they come from massive rice paddies so he will prefer the largest tank you can get
