A interview in the order of DIY co2 reactor?
Where i live, my supplies are limited. I know it calles for a check valve but I cannot find any, instead can I just place the bottle on a better level than the fish tank?
Also, when I'm waiting for the CO2 to start up, do I leave the heavens line tubing in the tank w/airstone attached surrounded by the water?
Thanks.
btw, no fish. Fishless cycling atm.
the air stone would likly stop the co2 going out of that end so i would recomend going away it off as for the check valve generally you obligation it but i havent tryed it without one
check spigot isn't essential, just prevents major disasters whether the reactor overflows - without one the yeast mixture can get into your tank and screw it up. Putting the bottle greater isn't really going to help though.
Answers: well yes u leave it surrounded by the tank, how els is the co2 gonna dissolve into the water, you should be fine without a check spigot, i don't always use one, the only time you need to verbs is if some one is squeezing the bottle. i hope this help and good luck on your CO2
if u have severely few plants you dont really need it
