A ask more or less fish.?

About how big does a arawana fish need to live properly? Also can they eat anything other than live stuff?
Answers:    You can save an arowana for most of its life in a 125 gallon. Most people normally end up getting a 240 or something up there for it. I mean, its a 3 foot fish, they inevitability more room than a 125 can provide. But I wouldnt buy it unless you had the larger tank, because when the time came, you wouldnt upgrade because hes already surrounded by a tank.

It depends how young you buy it. If its an older one, and already hooked on live, you might not know how to change that. If you get one around 2-3 inches, you should be able to acquire him onto pellets. And you should try to do that. Feeder fish are a bad thing to nurture. They are full of parasites and diseases. As he gets larger though, you might need to nurture the occasional feeder fish. Because eventually, pellets wouldnt be enough. They only bring so big. The biggest pellet Ive seen was an inch round.

I don't know what that technique, but arrowanas get about 4 feet long, and necessitate around 200 gallons once full grown. They can eat any food you'd feed any other fish. Live blackworms, bloodworms, feeder fish (though I don't recommend it), large fish pellet, etc.
