A sand interrogate for the 10 gallon reservoir.?

if you clean the tank beside a siphon or a gravel vacuum will it suck up the sand? should i just buy more sand when all the sand is sucked up?
That would get pretty expensive if you bought unusual sand every time. You can always scoop the sand back into the container after you have siphoned the water out.
Keep the shutting of the siphon just above the sand to avoid siphoning it.
Disturbing too much of the substrate can cause a mini cycle, so do not remove and replace it.
Eco-Complete is the best substrate for planted tanks IMO, costs around the same as gravel and breaks down the fish waste for fertilizer. Weekly water change are still recommended.

No sift the sucked up sand and put back in. I do that in my container.
It shouldn't suck up sand if you be in motion about 1 cm above the sand. Only the gunk will get sucker up. There is no need to buy more sand.

Good Luck!
I hope this help!
Answers:    Yes it will suck up some sand since the size of the siphone you need to use surrounded by this tank is small. You will not be able to clean wreckage (which is heavier than the and) correctly without picking up sand.

You may want to switch your sand eventually to a heavier larger sand like construction sand vs. fine play sand. this help greatly in a fresh water tank.
