Adding carbonated marine to the aquarium.?
As CO'2 systems can be expensive does anyone have any knowledge or experience of adding carbonated wet to tanks to help promote plant growth. Would it work would it be detremental to fish.
Since carbonated water is dissolved c02 in water and fish breathe oxygen dissolved contained by water. You will have to chose whether you want plant's and fish or just plant's. You can't own both using that kind of trick.
I wouldn't recommend adding carbonated water. But I enjoy a DiY (do it yourself) CO2 system on my 40 gallon. A member of my fish forum I am on created this:

If you scroll down a bit, you'll see a diagram. It's basically the diagram version of the practicalfishkeeping.co contact.
I must also add, that I had my tank running contained by my 40 for a bit and my plants over ran my tank, BEFORE I had the CO2 system made up. I hold really decent fluorescent lights on my tank and also I fertilized them every other day or so.
Good luck!
**EDIT: To other posters who hold posted it's one or the other; that is entirely false. If you were running a CO2 system WITHOUT plants, then yes, totally pointless. I could run TWO CO2 systems on my 40 gallon next to the amount of plants and still NOT harm my fish.
Having fish OR plants is NOT true. You can have a CO2 system going and still have clean fish.**
BEANS BABY!
eat beans .you know what to after that.
Hey good question!
To the other posters, Obviously you would own an oxygen injection system alongside it...
Its not a plant or fish matter
Answers: Carbonated Water won't work, however a DIY Yeast CO2 generator would. Pumping CO2 into your tank marine gives your plants the much needed carbon to thrive. Make sure you have a right 6500 Kelvin Light bulb at roughly 2 watts per gallon and get some fertilizer for the water to add to it every other light of day or so and put some root tabs in your gravel. All of this is rather cheap and really fun. Your plants will pinch off. I struggled with plant growth 'til I replaced my light, get some ferts for the water and started pumping CO2 into it. This is not detrimental to the fish because the plants take in the CO2 and the produce O2 which the fish call for. Its a simple ecological system. Plants and animals live in perfect musical tones, everything the animals use and discard the plants need, and vice versa! Good Luck. :)
It would not work for the fish, since they need O2 in hose down, but plants need CO2, therefore it will work.
I wouldn't do that, Dray, what the heck are you talking about ? ha ha ha ha ha
well fish desires oxygen..i dont kow
You are right. The 2 liter pop bottle system works just as well. It will solve your problem.
Many citizens go with this system. To hide it losing your tank, use a rubbermaid tote from Walmart.
YOUR FISH WOULD DIE. PLEASE THINK OF THEM NOT ONYL YOURSELF. aNYWAY GO AND EAT FISH
It won't work.
