Adding brackish to my aquarium for my Green Spotted Puffer, even other fish contained by it? ?

I have many fish in my aquarium including:

1 algae eater
1 algae eater that i dont know wats it call but is like a dragon
ALOT if guppies
About 6 tetras
2 Spotted Puffers

So i heard that Green Spotted Puffers inevitability salt because they are brackish fish, but i also have alot of other fish as you can see

So wat should i do? Should i add brackish? Will it affect my other fish?
If so how much is salt usually? The price range and how much should i tag on?

Thank you!!best answer will make my day!
I would get the Puffer it's own tank beside other brackish water fish, If you put salt in the reservoir now with the other fishes they will feel below par and perhaps die. Tetras are very susceptible to water change other then regular water at tropical temperatures. Adding brackish would be a bad thing.
well, i dont know how and why you already own two green sported pufffers without thinking about this. (no offence) but anways, all freshwater fsih can clutch salt water up to a certain even. of course dont make your tank brackish hose down. your going to need to buya measuring tool that measures salinity of water. 1-17ppt of salinity is brakish sea. 17 is pretty salter. is would stick around the 10 or high single digits. i sugjest you move these puffers to another tank.puffers are also very agressive. i dont even know how you own two of them together. but i sugjest you move them to another tank. what do you mean by "price range". aquarium salt doesntt cost that much. a mid sized packet will onyl run you just about 6 or 7 bucks.

good luck =]
i think it will affect the fish and may even kill them.i devise you should put the fishes in different tanks.
if you put within as just conditioning salt nto actual salt river but ya i have soem that require salt and some that dont mainly whether you just put it in it actually help the fish that you dont need it for
Answers:    Yes it will affect your other fish. That's why puffers shouldn't be in a community cistern along with the fact hes gonna get aggressive and vanquish the hell outta them.

He needs brackish water when young but when he get older after about a year he will need to be within a full salt water tank. These fish grow up surrounded by rivers and migrate to the ocean once they are older.

This transition needs to be done slowly over months, don't freshly one day a year from now decide he desires to go into a slat water tank and throw him within one. Good Luck

If you need to know how much salt and how to do it read this site.

I hold a 5.9gallon Fish-tank beside 3 Goldfish, the small species though so I enjoy the right amount. ?   Does anyone know of any pious fish name?   What is a great fish that fits this description?   Would this work within a 30 gallon container?
