Advice on African Dwarf Frogs? - I want to obtain coldwater fish, can I mix them, because...?
I have got this vivo aquarium tank and I enjoy added a vivo chlorine solution to it to make the tap water 'safer' for the fish to live within when I get them next week. I was wondering, whether I get a heater and a light point for the frogs that I want to add to the tank say a week next:
1) Will the frogs die because of the chlorine water, or is it ok? They are both cold water types of animals?
2) Will the frogs mind a bubble mechanism thing in the water?
3) Will have a heater and a light affect the fish/frogs because I am scared I will fry the fish! And apparently these frogs are nocturnal?
Thank you so much to adjectives answerers!
xx
Answers: African Dwarf Frogs need tropical temperatures - they're NOT coldwater. They're not really nocturnal either. They're extremely messy little animals (not to be confused with African Clawed Frogs who get very large) that can be difficult to nurture and are sensitive to water quality problems. They're better in species tank, not with fish.
That chlorine solution, if it was expected for fish tanks, will have removed chlorine, not added it.
You need to cycle your cistern before you get the fish, this will take longer that 1 week.

The frogs will die whether you don't use a de-chlorinating chemical. They are a tropical frog and will need heater that keeps the sea from around 75-80 degrees.
The frogs won't mind a bubble machine and they breath nouns from the surface so don't fill up the tank all the style. Leave them about 3 in on the top so they can breath.
The frogs will be fine with the lights.
