Air pump for my fish cistern ?
i am wanting to buy a air pump for my aquarium but the last time i had one it be reeally noisy like a vibration i be just wondering if i can get a stifled 1 for the tank i live in the uk also
Is there a reason you need an nouns pump? Air pumps do nothing for your fish but look pretty. A filter is what you need and it is the only entity (next to powerheads) that will deliver the dissolved oxygen your fish need. Ditch the air pump it isn't needed.
I am also in the UK I get my air pump because when medicating a tank it says to variety sure it is well oxygenated so I invested in one, yes they are thunderous I have mine on a thick book not hardback it quietens some of it down, but it is still strident.I have noticed if it have 2 outlets by covering 1 it is much quieter however I have mine on for about an hour a day when I am not surrounded by that room or when it would not bother me.
Answers: Try TopFin Whisper. Um I dont know if Whispers are within UK and you could put a piece of cloth on the air pump to ease the vibrations abit.
There are quiet pumps,I get mine brand new from an ebay pet store quite cheaply.
Have you tried sitting it on a cloth or even an old mousemat to stop the jolting noise ?
