Are goldfish next to generous tail sporadic?
I used to keep this goldfish with a huge tail when I was roughly speaking 6 or so years old. And then this question hit me: Are goldfish beside large tails rare?
Come to the give attention to of it, my goldfish was replaced several times with identical goldfish because of some silly stray cats (I kept my fish in a big pond-like thing) clawed them. *sniffle*

'Normal' goldfish would be Common goldfish and Comet goldfish. They basically look the same, apart from the comets tail is extremely long. Comets/Commons can both be found at pet shops labeled as feeder fish.
Since you have them in a pond, even if you own a comet, you wont notice the tail that often.
A goldfish given the proper room is rare though. Most individuals try putting several in 10 gallon tanks and thinks its ok. They dont grasp that these fish grow to 16 inches and need 55 gallons at the least.
Answers: Do you just mean a average goldfish with a long tail? Or a fantail or some other type of fancy with a long tail?

Not at all fantails and other mutations with similar tails are relatively common
I have a fantail goldfish that I bought at Wal-Mart, very soon they don't sell fishes anymore. And I haven't been able to find any more fishes similar to that! I think they're rare, and mine was more expensive than other majority goldfishes.
