Can anyone notify the difference between manly and feminine comet goldfish?
I want to know if my fish is a boy or girl. I have a video of my fish.

Thanks a lot :)
one of my fish spawned at 1 year. i guess it depends on size, not age. the fish don't grow up at the same speed.
lets catch back to you.

look at the pair of fish. the fatter one is the female.
thats the easiest passageway out.
I cannot tell from the video. There are a few ways you can tell by looking yourself. First the womanly will have a more rounded body and the male a longer thiner body. The vent openings as economically, the females will be convex while the males will be concave.
The males fins as well will be more ridged. During the spawn the males will develop white spots on the gill covers.
However goldifhs do not mature until 2-3 years of age (and it is impossiable to spawn at 1 year) Chasing won't happen any until the female comes into eggs.
Your fish is very young. They involve to be 2-3 years old for you to be able to tell. Even afterwards its difficult...
The boys have a sharp, pointed fin sticking out the back of their underbelly, whereas females tend to have a admirer shaped fin at the back of their underbelly
Answers: Its terribly difficult to visually sex young Goldfish. Definitely can't tell from a fuzzy video.
Its best to sex fish over 1-2 years old (comets hold a lifespan of over 15 years) and in springtime which is their spawning season. See this site for pictures:
