Can I put a placo. contained by a cistern next to a mannish betta?

it is a 1 gallon tank, male betta in at hand by himself.
no
No. A 1 gallon is essentially too small for a male Betta. Even the smallest of the Plecos such as the Pitbull and Bristlenose need a MINIMUM of a fully filtered, cycled and heated 15-20 US gallon container.

The often mistakenly sold "common" and "sailfin" plecos grow anything from 12"-24" and need at least 75-100 gallons.

No catfish can be kept within a tiny 1 gallon.
the male beta will verbs the placo. they are beasts. 99.9% of the time.
Common Pleco
"Many will get severely large with the common multiplicity getting to be almost 18 inches (46 cm) and will outgrow most aquariums under 55 gallons."

Short answer: No.
Answers:    I Would think you could get a small pleco. But some people would vote no
pleco will be fine in there beside your fish
like the girl said first it might outgrow your tank
unless your planning on up sizing your tank
That tank is too small for a pleco. The betta is perfectly fine all by himself.

You also hold to be careful, I've owned plenty of larger plecos that HATED bettas and would kill them.
