Discus and German Blue ram?
could i keep 3 discus and 3 german blue rams (1 male 2 females) within a 55 gallon tank that has many plants surrounded by it including 2 caves and driftwood? And if not what would go next to my discus thats a cichlid?
Answers: yes they should be fine but be cautious of them, rams are extremely sensitive to water parameter and it needs to be maintained constantly, but rams and discus pretty much live within the same water type and the requirements are close to one another. Their sizes also need to be taken into consideration, as next to many fish. If you add a couple small rams to a container with full grown discus, you probably wont see them much longer, they only get give or take a few 2'' and discus 6''
I'm not sure about the discus but the german blue rams should be fine. Cichlids are sturdy waste producers so it's far different when stocking comes. But, I would think they should be fine if their the merely fish in there.
