Do Yoyo loaches put away other fish?
I have a Yoyo loach in my tank beside other small fish. I notices that 1 of my cherry barbs was lost. I then saw it laying on the ground. It's eyes were eat and its stomach. Did the yoyo do it? has any 1 else had this problem?
They won't unanimously seek out and kill other tankmates, but if the Cherry Barb died smoothly, the Yoyo wouldn't hesitate to go in for the free lunch.
it probably didnt but yo yos need to be in a school and whether they arent they can release their agression to other fish but they usually only do this to slower moving fish, which a barb isnt, and this is pretty rare. More than expected the barb died of something else and the loach got to its body because it was on the bottom and thought it was food
Answers: yes, the yo-yo loach ate the dead barb, however, it ate the fish after it died, that's adjectives with fish. one of my tetras died, and almost all the other fish be nibbling at it, and the eyes were first to go. to them, unconscious corpse=free food, dont sweat it.
