Emergency food for goldfish?
i have just ran out of goldfish food, unknowingly. i am snowed within for at least another 2 days, so cant get to the pet store, what can i safely nurture them until i can get them some fish flakes?...i have 2 small goldfish. thanks
you call for really small peaces of bread but don't make then too big ok that all ways works

never give bread to your gold ingots fish its a common mistake that people do , it will cause digestive problem,

or give them vegetables lettuce is the best you can give them , and they like it alot

Orange slices, zucchini, or lettuce will be fine.
The goldfish will be fine without food for 2 days. They can live for 2 weeks without food.
I conjecture your goldfish will be fine for 2 days with out any food. If you are desparate to feed them, crushed up carrots would be freshly fine.

Answers: please do NOT nurture them bread... this has no nutrients and can cause bloating and all sorts of problems.
as said above. zucchini, lettuce, carrot, orange, most veggies really. but, giving them nothing for the next two days will do really no damage. it's a good idea to skip soon or feeding a week anyway. fish are not like humans within that they can go for a very long time without food. months beforehand dying (2 weeks without any problems).
so, veggie or skip feeding. these are the best choices.
Give them some bread crumbs.
