Fish reservoir filter??

I have a fish tank filter and the water is murky. what is going on?
I don't come up with its working.
The lack of detail surrounded by your question suggests to me you did not do a lot of research before you bought your reservoir, which is how most of us get into the hobby of fishkeeping.

You need to cycle your tank so that nearby is an established bacterial colony that will help to get rid of the waste produced by the fish. The murky river is the start of that cycle, it will last about two to six weeks depending on your tank size. You have need of to learn about ammonia, nitrite and nitrates and how to deal near problems that arise when starting a new tank.

Answers:    Hit the power button. =D Okay, okay, I'm humour. There are a lot of possibilities here.
First of all, a filter is not enough to hold on to your water clean. You must also do a partial water metamorphose, scrub the tank, and siphon the gravel regularly.
Second of all, is it a new cistern? Tanks have to go through a cycling period. If you in recent times set it up, it probably needs more time to cycle. I really hope you didn't just set it up and stick fish in it. If you did, that's your problem right in that.
Another possibility is overstocking your tank. The rule of thumb is one gallon of water per one inch of tropical fish, or two gallons of marine per one inch of goldfish.
Another common problem are those dang starter tanks!! If you bought one of those, OR if you bought the MINIMUM number of filtration for your size container, you probably need a bigger one. You can't over filter a tank.
Finally, you could just own a crappy filter. Or your cartridge needs changed.
Good luck!
The filter won't verbs everything, so you need to siphon stuff out too. also,is the filter pad new?
Some empire expect filters to do all the work for them. That's not the case. You hold to do 25% weekly water changes while cleaning the gravel with a gravel siphon.
